This website (aliavanoglu.com) is published by Prof. Dr. Ali Avanoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yaşar Issı for informational purposes in the field of pediatric urology. This site is based in Turkey, and under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), the data controller is: Prof. Dr. Ali Avanoğlu — İzmir, Turkey. • Browsing the site: The site consists of static informational pages; there is no membership, account, or cookie-based tracking. The site itself does not place analytics or advertising cookies.
• Contact form and Roadmap summary: The information in the form (name, phone number, email, your child's age and a brief description of the situation) and the answers you give in the Roadmap tool are not sent to a server; they are used only on your own device to prepare a WhatsApp or email message. You can edit or cancel the message before sending it. Once you send it, this information reaches us through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) or your email provider and becomes subject to their own privacy policies. (The one exception is the Roadmap report download described below.)
• Downloading the Roadmap report: If you choose to download the assessment report, you are asked for your full name and phone number; together with the result group you were guided to and your contact preference ("please contact me" or "please do not contact me"), these two pieces of information are sent via the server to the doctors' email address so that we can follow up with you. This information is not stored on the site or in a database — it is only forwarded by email, and it is not used for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to provide this information, you can keep using the tool's results screen without downloading the report.
• Third-party content: Videos on the pages are loaded via YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com), and fonts via Google Fonts. When these services load, your IP address is transmitted to the relevant provider; see Google's privacy policy for details. YouTube does not place cookies unless you play a video.
• Server logs: Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser information) for security and troubleshooting purposes; these logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify individuals.

Information you send us via WhatsApp or email is processed in order to answer your question, carry out the appointment and preliminary assessment process, and communicate with you, on the basis of KVKK Art. 5/2-c (establishment or performance of a contract) and Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interest), and, where it includes health data, under KVKK Art. 6 with your explicit consent. By sending your message, you consent to this processing; you may withdraw your consent at any time.

Your data is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes; it may only be transferred to authorized authorities where legally required. For communications that turn into an examination or treatment process, medical records are kept in accordance with the relevant healthcare institution's regulatory requirements. Information collected for contact purposes is deleted once its purpose has been fulfilled, or at your request.

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed; to request information if it has been processed; to learn its purpose and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; to know the third parties to whom it has been transferred; to request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly; to request its deletion or destruction; to request that these actions be notified to the parties to whom the data was transferred; to object to a result that is to your detriment arising from analysis exclusively through automated systems; and, if you incur damage, to request that it be compensated. The site itself does not use cookies. When you play a video, YouTube may place cookies under its own policy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
