Our surgeons · two specialists, one team

One operation, two surgeons

Two pediatric urology specialists work together on every operation: one performs the repair while the other assists, checks, and takes over when needed. This built-in second opinion completes demanding operations with less risk.

  • Lower risk

A shared assessment and four-handed technique; a second experienced pair of eyes at the demanding steps.

  • Shorter surgery

Working in parallel shortens the time spent under anesthesia.

  • Less anesthesia

Infants and young children spend less time under anesthesia.

  1. 01 Clinic

    Consultation and surgical planning

The process begins at our clinic. We assess your child together; which technique will be used and the surgery date are both settled at this first visit. This is where you can ask every question on your mind.

    First visit

  2. 02 Hospital

    Pre-op tests and anesthesia assessment

The day before surgery you're directed to İzmir Acıbadem Kent Hospital. The necessary tests are run, the anesthesia team sees your child, and preparation for surgery is completed.

    1 day before surgery

  3. 03 Hospital

    Surgery

The surgery itself takes place the next day, as planned. In suitable cases it's completed as day-case surgery; discharge is assessed after the observation period.

    1 day after tests

  4. 04 Clinic

    Follow-up after discharge

After discharge, you continue recovery at home or wherever you're staying. You'll come back to our clinic for dressing changes, wound checks, catheter checks and catheter removal — the team that sees you doesn't change.

Families ask

What most families ask

We've kept the answers short and direct. If your question isn't here, you can write to us directly.

Trust

Where are the surgeries performed?

We perform our surgeries at İzmir Acıbadem Kent Hospital. Our clinic is about 4–5 km from the hospital; a range of accommodation options is available nearby.

Clarity

How long does the process take, and how does it work?

The overall flow spans three stages: consultation and planning at our clinic, a test day at the hospital, and surgery the next day. An observation period and discharge assessment follow.

Comfort

Do we stay at the hospital after surgery?

A significant share of our surgeries are completed as day-case surgery when appropriate. Patients who meet the discharge criteria continue recovering at home or wherever they're staying after the observation period.

Continuity

How are the post-discharge check-ups handled?

Follow-up steps — dressing changes, wound checks, catheter checks and catheter removal — continue at our clinic. The team that sees you from the first visit through to the final check-up doesn't change.

Contact us

If you're traveling from out of town or from abroad, would you like to reach the doctor?

There are two ways. If you'd like the doctor to already know your situation before replying, start with the short assessment; if your question is brief, write to us directly. Both reach the same team.

1 Let me assess my situation firstRecommended The Roadmap asks a few questions in about 2 minutes, collects your answers with an anatomical diagram, and produces a ready-made summary. That summary is added to your WhatsApp message — the doctor replies already knowing your situation. Start the Roadmap
2 I'll write directly Fill in the form; your message opens ready-made in WhatsApp (you can edit it before sending), or you can send it directly by email. This page's topic is added to the message automatically.

Editor's note: Age and a short sentence are enough; you don't need to use medical terms. Please don't send photos — the doctor will request them through a secure channel if needed. What you write is only sent when you submit it; this page does not store anything.
