In the weeks before surgery
- Any blood tests your doctor requests, and a urine culture if needed, are carried out.
- If there is a urinary tract infection, it is treated before surgery; repair is not performed with an infected urine.
- Tell your doctor about any medications, allergies, and previous anesthesia your child has had.
- If pre-operative testosterone treatment has been planned, it is started during this period.
- Any family history of a bleeding disorder must always be mentioned.
