Who is Yaşar Issı?
Doç. Dr. Yaşar Issı graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2006. He completed his urology residency at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital in 2011, and his pediatric urology subspecialty training at Ondokuz May University in 2016; in 2022 he received the title of associate professor in urology from the Interuniversity Board.
Throughout his career he has worked at Gaziantep Children's Hospital, İzmir Çiğli Training and Research Hospital, and İzmir Bakırçay University; during his pediatric urology subspecialty training he received a certificate from Ondokuz May University's experimental research ethics committee.
To date he has experience with more than 1,000 hypospadias repairs and a comparable number of stone operations. Being a specialist in both pediatric and adult urology means that follow-up for a treatment begun in childhood can continue with the same team through adolescence and adulthood; he carries out his surgeries together with Prof. Dr. Ali Avanoğlu.
